Urban Decay - Naked Smokey

IT ARRIVED!

So, I did not plan on blogging today, but..... I came home from work today to that beautiful brown (maybe not BEAUTIFUL, but magical in its own way) Sephora box! I knew what was inside, the brand new Naked palette from Urban Decay.  It is being called the Naked Smokey, but I think we can all refer to it as The Naked 4 palette, I mean, come on, can't stop a theme now, UD!  The palette retails for $54.00 which I believe when the Naked palettes were debuted years ago, the price tag was $50, but with everything else we love, prices go up (yay us)!  The palette I didn't think I needed, but now I WANTED and NEEDED.  And in all its glory, and Flash 2-Day Shipping, it was in my possession!

So I can not wait to play with this bad gal and let ya know how it performs I'm sure amazing), the color and pigmentation (again, I'm sure amazing) and an all together look based around the Naked Smokey!

Love you, beauty addicts :)

P.S. - If you have it, let me know some of your thoughts, or combinations or anything!

Some pics below:

Rimmel - Stay Glossy

L-R - Endless Summer, Dorchester Rose, Blushing Belgraves and Always Lovely

Rimmel – Stay Glossy

Because these products are sitting right next to me, they will be the first I am reviewing today.  I currently have four shades: Endless Summer, Blushing Belgraves, Dorchester Rose and Always Lovely.

Endless Summer I have had for 2 years.  I love topping this one over any lipstick; it gives a nice gloss to the lips without adding too much color.  Blushing Belgraves and Dorchester Rose are both on the nude side, with Dorchester being more nude.  They are both beautiful glosses.  And Always Lovely, I’ll be honest; I bought this shade because of the name.  It sounded so…. Lovely.  And it did not disappoint.

The formula is not too sticky or tacky.  One sheer layer is all that is needed to add a little color.  The scent is not very pleasant.  No vanilla or cupcake smell with these.  Instead it is a smell I can’t exactly describe.  But the first time I smelled it, it took me back to my childhood and the scent of a new baby doll.  Call me crazy, but that is what the smell reminds me of! Color does not last very long, I may get a good hour+ out of it, and it is described on the tube as 6+ hour wear.  I cannot attest to that claim.  They do stay glossy while on the lips though.  It is a comfortable formula as well.

If you are looking for something with lots of pigment and staying power, this is not the gloss for you.  But if you want a gloss you can toss in your purse and throw on to touch up and look glossy, this could be your gloss.

The price is decent for this product, found at Walmart for $3.97 and Target for $3.99.

I would rate these 8/10.

Have a good day, beauty lover :)
